Conference in co-operation with the Office of the Prime Minister of Bavaria (Staatskanzlei)
In co-operation with the Office of the Prime Minister of Bavaria (Staatskanzlei), in February of 2008 MIPLC organized a Conference on measures the European Union should undertake for protecting intellectual property in third countries via international and bilateral treaties.
Among the speakers of the conference were Professor Wilfried Büttner, Head of Intellectual Property and functions of the Siemens Corporation and Member of the Board of Trustees of MIPLC, Mr. Klaus-Heiner Lehne, Member of the European Parliament, Mr. Christopher Wilson from the Office of the US Trade Representative, Professor Li Yuguang, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People´s Republic of China and Professor Joseph Straus, Chair of the MIPLC Managing Board. More than 180 high-ranking representatives from industry, legal profession and academia, including the presidents of the German Federal Patent Court, Mr. Raimund Lutz, and of the German Patent and Trademark Office, Dr. Jürgen Schade.
