MIPLC celebrates the LL.M. IP class of 2005 in Augsburg´s Golden Hall

“You have been a wonderful class” said the Chairman of the MIPLC-Managing Board Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Joseph Straus during the graduation of the 18 students. And the Deputy Mayor of Augsburg, Ms. Eva Leipprand expressed that it was a matter of course to open the doors of the Golden Hall for the celebration of this very special event.
On November 11th, 2005 MIPLC celebrated the Graduation of its second class in the Golden Hall of the City of Augsburg.

It was a great honour that the President of the European Patent Organisation, Prof. Alain Pompidou joined the ceremony in Augsburg and adressed the audience about the strong relationship between the European Patent Organisation and the MIPLC . “The EPO emphatically supports this important initiative in order to meet the needs in Europe.” Awarding the diplomas, the Vice Rector of the University of Augsburg, Prof. Dr. Dr. Werner Wiater stressed the internationality of the second class. The graduates come from Ethiopia, Bulgaria, China, Germany, India, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and the USA.

“It has been a very special year” summarized Claudia Hiebsch and Christoph Laub their experiences and thanks. “We had the best IP-teachers of the world and many new friends.” The Oehm prize was awarded to Ms. Kaja Veel Midtbø from Norway. She was the graduate with the highest cumulative grade point average in the MIPLC Intellectual Property LL.M. class.
