Partnership Agreements between the MIPLC and the University of Catania

The MIPLC, continuing to strengthen its commitment to partnership activities with other European law schools, signed two Partnership Agreements with the University of Catania.
The first Agreement, signed by Prof. Joseph Straus, Chairman of the MIPLC Managing Board, and Prof. Roberto Pennisi, coordinator of the Dottorato di Ricerca in Diritto Commerciale of the UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Catania, provides for the exchange of members of the faculties and research communities of both institutions.

The Dottorato di Ricerca in Diritto Commerciale, established in 1982, is a cooperation of the Universities of Bari, Catania, Messina, Salerno and Sassari. It sponsors a doctoral program with a duration of three years which enables high quality law graduates to acquire a specialization in commercial law preparing them for a career in legal research or practice.

A similar agreement will be signed with the Scuola Superiore di Catania (SSC). The SSC is an institution of the University of Catania as well and supports high-quality students, selected by an entry exam, on their way to excellence. For undergraduate students the SSC offers courses, seminars and other academic (and non-academic) activities, which are complementary to the students’ regular courses of studies. For graduate students, a Master program, several advanced courses, and a doctoral program are available.
