Degree Requirements
In order to be awarded the LL.M. degree, students must acquire 60 credit points (cp):
- 21 cp from the Basic Courses Modules,
- 21 cp from the Elective Modules, and
- 18 cp from the Master's Thesis.
Examinations will be graded according to the following scale:
| Excellent | An especially superlative performance | 16 to 18 points |
| Very good | A performance that is well above average | 13 to 15 points |
| Good | An above average performance | 10 to 12 points |
| Satisfactory | A performance that in every respect meets average standards | 7 to 9 points |
| Adequate | A performance that meets average standards in spite of its deficiencies | 4 to 6 points |
| Deficient | A performance that has substantial deficiencies and is no longer completely adequate | 1 to 3 points |
| Completely inadequate | A completely inadequate performance | 0 points |
Oehm Prize
The Oehm Prize is awarded to the student with the best overall final grade of each Academic Year. This Prize, which includes a cash award of 500 EUR, is sponsored from a donation generously endowed to MIPLC by Gertrud and Siegfried Oehm.Our Oehm Prize winners thus far have been:
