MIPLC Students and Staff at the Japanese Consulate General

MIPLC students and staff were honored to be invited by the Japanese Consulate General in Munich.

In his speech, Consul General Hidenao Yanagi expressed his appreciation regarding the cooperation and the close ties that have developed over the years between MIPLC and Japan. To name just a few examples:  Every year since 2005, the Supreme Court of Japan has sent a young judge to study at MIPLC. Since 2009, MIPLC has hosted staff members from the Japan Patent Office as students and researchers.  A total of 23 Japanese students have studied in the MIPLC LL.M. program. Prof. Eiji Katayama has been a faculty member of the LL.M. program since 2007. And, last but not least, Japan has been represented on the MIPLC Board of trustees for five years now, presently by Consul Yuki Shimizu. MIPLC looks forward to many more years of fruitful cooperation.
