Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht Funds an MIPLC IP LL.M. Scholarship

The Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht e.V. -- known popularly as "GRUR," and in English as the German Association for Industrial Property and Copyright Law, announced that it would fund a scholarship to pay for the tuition of a student in the Intellectual Property LL.M. Program of the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Joseph Straus, Chair of the Managing Board of the MIPLC, welcomed GRUR's generous contribution. "This scholarship will allow an accomplished student who otherwise would not have been able to study in the IP LL.M. program to do so, and at the same time will support our efforts to provide all of our IP LL.M. students with an unparalleled education in intellectual property law. We are extremely grateful for GRUR's support."

The Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht e.V., founded in 1891, is the oldest intellectual property law association in Germany. It is also the largest such association, with over 4000 members, including lawyers, patent agents, judges, academics, companies, and industry associations, as well as staff of national and European patent and trademark agencies and of international intellectual property organizations.
