Professor Dr. Matthias Leistner, LL.M. (Cambridge)

Curriculum Vitae

Prof. Leistner studied law in Berlin, Brussels and Cambridge and received his Ph.D. from the Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich.  

Matthias Leistner was Head of the Commonwealth Unit at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law, Munich. At present, he is Professor of Civil Law, Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law and Director of the Institute for Commercial and Economic Law at the University of Bonn. Moreover, he is a Member of the Faculty of the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), and a guest professor for European Intellectual Property Law at the University of Xiamen, China. He has been a guest professor for European Intellectual Property Law at the Tongji University, Shanghai.

Prof. Leistner's specialties are intellectual property law, unfair competition law and internet law.
