Mourning the Passing of Professor Dan L. Burk

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Dan L. Burk. Professor Burk was a long-standing member of the MIPLC faculty and played a pivotal role in shaping MIPLC's reputation for excellence during its formative years. Staff and students alike always eagerly awaited his annual lectures in Munich. We are deeply grateful for the invaluable contributions he made both as a professor and as a mentor to students.

Professor Burk also served as a Distinguished and Chancellor’s Professor of Law at the University of California Irvine School of Law (UCI Law), where he was a founding faculty member and the school’s first Chancellor’s Professor. To learn more about Professor Burk’s remarkable life and career, please visit the UCI Law’s dedicated In Memoriam webpage at: https://news.law.uci.edu/2024/02/05/in-memoriam-remembering-dan-l-burk/.

Dan was not only a respected colleague but also our friend, and he will be dearly missed.
